For all of the teachers and administrators at Three Mile Creek, Mtn. View, Lakeview, Discovery, Foothill, Century and Promontory Elementary Schools in 2009 Dan Price started the BeeHive Mile.  I am very supportive of putting on a race for this age group.  I know that many of you probably would like to think it is more work for you but it isn't.  Here is how it works.  The Cross Country Team and myself, will come to your school to talk to the 4th and 5th graders about being healthy and how to stretch and warm-up.  This is done after I talk to them about the importance of staying healthy through proper eating and exercise.  I also talk to them about how to train for the race when they come in and how to sign up.  The only thing you need to do is collect the registration forms from those who want to run in the race.  The race is held on a Friday night so it doesn't interrupt your school day.  There is someone who even comes by and picks up the registration forms from the school.  We just ask that you remind them about it and collect the forms.
